Ed Walkers Drive In Ft. Smith, AR

Okay. Ed Walkers is a gem of a find. Like most good finds it is in the "older" part of Ft. Smith and worth the adventure.
The staff is super friendly. It is sit where you want (I like counter service) or sit in your car and just flash your light when ready to order (PS you can order a beer to your car...really) I had an awesome burger and curly fries Ashley had burger and tots both great but they are known for their French dip. Open 7 days a week and glad I don't live here or I'd be 500 pounds because I'd eat here at least twice a week. The rest of the menu is typical good old diner food with the killer looking pies in the turnstile.

The Shed. Santa Fe, NM

The Shed has some of the best margaritas and new Mexican food on the planet. The cold Green Bean salad is the bomb. Get it no matter what it sounds like it is just trust it is good! Picture below (ps dip the garlic bread in the dressing at the bottom of the green bean salad)

Margarita tasting. Not actually offered at The Shed but made by us. We usually get the Silver Coin but decided how can we compare without testing. So the three as ordered and as voted on below. All good but some better than others.

Mine Shaft Margaritas. Madrid, NM

We have come back to the State where the Margarita runs wild! Also, the state in which I used to live and fell in love with mountains and Margaritas!!
The mine shaft used to have one of the best ritas, however, a few years back new owners took over and they cleaned off the dust, put in a hostess stand and the biggest blasphemy they used bottled lime juice in the rita. I wanted to cry for all the mine shafts character had been cleaned away.
This trip the rita is better but not the original and you still have to wait to be seated and it is still clean. It is better than the last visit but I miss my old tavern. Bar plague: "there is no town drunk we all take turns"- yeah, they moved that sign too!!! Ugh
